Straightening

Lancaster Knives revolutionized the plywood industry in the 1950's with a thru hardened solid steel knife. With improved and expanded heat treating capabilities, we can heat treat and temper a wide range of tool steels. Hardening temperatures range from 1,400 degrees to 1,975 degrees while tempering ranges from 375 degrees to 1,010 degrees.

Common tool steels include D2, S5, H13, S7, and A8 modified.

We also provide annealing and stress relieving.

Lancaster Knives expertise includes straightening of parts during and after the heat treat process.
